Mindfulness: A Daily Practice

You may have wondered if meditation could help you feel calmer, clearer, and
more at ease—but weren’t quite sure where to begin. In this upcoming 2-hour
workshop, designed especially for those new to meditation, you’ll discover a
simple, practical approach that meets you exactly where you are.

Led by a familiar voice from Psychologically Speaking in The American
Israelite, Dr. Ken Manges, this session gently explores why meditation can
feel difficult, even when we know it’s good for us. We’ll uncover the seven
common myths that hold people back and learn how overthinking often gets in
the way of getting started. You’ll also experience both formal and informal
techniques you can easily bring into your daily life. This is not about
“emptying your mind,” but about understanding it in a new way—one that brings
more calm, clarity, and presence while you take on the challenges of everyday
life.
