Rabbi Scott Shafrin Installation Weekend

Join us for a meaningful weekend of celebration, learning, and community as we
gather for the Installation of Rabbi Scott Shafrin as Senior Rabbi of Adath
Israel Congregation. Throughout the weekend we will share inspiring teachings,
special events, and thoughtful conversation with our Scholar-in-Residence,
Rabbi Amy Eilberg.

** _Rabbi Amy Eilberg,_**_first woman ordained as a rabbi by JTS._
_Spiritual Director • Peace and Justice Educator • Teacher of Mussar_

Rabbi Amy Eilberg was the first woman ordained as a rabbi in Conservative
Judaism in 1985. She is a respected teacher and leader known for her work in
interfaith dialogue and peacebuilding. She is the author of _From Enemy to
Friend: Jewish Wisdom and the Pursuit of Peace_. Her work draws on Jewish
spiritual teachings to guide communities toward compassion, justice, and
reconciliation.

**Kabbalat Shabbat Hineni Dinner & Teaching**
Welcome in Shabbat with music and a teaching by Rabbi Amy Eilberg on “Pursuing
Justice with Love” as we begin Installation Weekend together.

**Shabbat, April 18 | 9 AM**
**Rabbi Scott Shafrin’s Installation Service**
Celebrate this special moment of our congregation as Rabbi Shafrin is formally
installed as Senior Rabbi of Adath Israel. Rabbi Eilberg speaks on “Installing
All of Us.”

**Sunday, April 19 | Minyan at 9 AM**
**The Soul of Community Teaching with Rabbi Eilberg**
Come for minyan and breakfast and stay for a special session led by Rabbi Amy
Eilberg exploring the spiritual meaning of belonging to community.
