Bring Your Own Bubbe: A PJ Patch Fundraiser

Gather your moms or adult daughters, your friends, your mahj group—really any
of your favorite ladies—for a feel-good evening of mahjong (or any game your
heart desires) and the chance to actually sit down, play, and be together,
with a little friendly competition mixed in.**_ _**

**_All proceeds will support the renovation of the PJ Patch at the Mayerson
JCC, in memory of Toby Samet, who was a beloved “Bubbe” to the entire J
community._**

Just a few days after Mother’s Day, this is an evening to do some self care
and take time for you and the most important moms in your life. “Bubbe” might
mean your mom, your kids’ grandma, your own grandmother—or someone who simply
shows up with that kind of love.

Mahjong will be set throughout the space (bring your own set), but this is
very much a _mahj + more kind of night_—so feel free to bring another game or
simply come for the vibe.

* Space for canasta, rummikub, and more
* Light bites from Café Alma
* A photo moment + photographer on-site

Toby Samet made everyone feel welcome—whether in the Early Childhood School,
the PJ Patch, or simply walking through the J. This space carries her spirit,
and we’re honored to dedicate it to her with a meaningful renovation.

The updated PJ Patch will grow in both function and age range, creating an
even more welcoming and engaging place for families.
