Birds of a feather (for active aging adults) SPRING Cohort

**Birds of a Feather uses creativity for transformation, co-creating an
intimate circle of trust and belonging through nature-based Jewish practices
for Jewish women ages 55 +.**

**Who?** We welcome women aged 55 and above from all backgrounds, including
Jewish and non-Jewish individuals. Circles are kept small and intimate with a
maximum of 12 participants.

**What?** Our activities are _loosely scheduled_ , allowing us to co-create
this space together. Each circle opens with an introduction and connection
with one another, lunch is provided, we move onto our creative activity and
close with a personal reflection.

* **Wednesday, 4/16 11:30 am**
_JOY of Color:_ Create vibrant, expressive paintings full of movement! Play
with bold colors, organic shapes, and fluid brushstrokes to bring energy and
harmony to our abstract art.🖌️🎨

* **Wednesday, 4/30 11:30 am**
_BodyTalk:_ Our bodies inherently know how to heal themselves. However,
certain factors like day-to-day stress, emotional issues, pain, life
challenges, complex illnesses, or physical trauma can create an imbalance that
puts pressure on or shuts down our body’s natural healing process. Through
BodyTalk, we can create awareness of the pressure, remove the tension, and re-
establish natural balance. Then the body is capable of healing itself at a
deep and lasting level.

_Drumming:_ We’ll gather in circle and get into the rhythm together! With
each beat, shake off any stress and let the sound bring us closer.

* **Wednesday, 5/28 11:30 am**
_Cheese Blintzes anyone?_ Join us in the kitchen as we bake cheese blintzes
inspired by Mimi, pouring memories and love into every bite. Have a favorite
family recipe? Bring it along! We’ll feast together potluck-style, sharing
food, memories, and laughter. ✨

* **Wednesday, 6/11 11:30 am**
_Blooming Floral Arrangements: Come explore _**Westwind Flower Farm,**
where fresh blooms are grown right here in Montgomery! Take a walk through the
fields, learn about the farm’s history, and discover why it’s important to
know where your flowers come from. Let the beauty of the flowers inspire your
creativity and connection to nature!💐

_Create Your Own Fairy Garden:_**✨** Step into a world of whimsy as we craft
enchanting fairy gardens together! 🌸🍄 Using soil, stones, moss, and tiny
treasures, we’ll create miniature sanctuaries filled with magic and meaning.
No experience needed—just bring your creativity and curiosity! 🌿 Let’s dig in,
design, and dream up tiny worlds together.
