This endearing, tumultuous journey tells the story of an unlikely friendship
that forms in the depths of the Sinai desert. When a stranded Brooklyn Jew
crosses paths with a surly Bedouin, the two form a bond through their cultural
differences. Ultra-Orthodox Ben relies on Arab nomad Adel to help him make his
way to fulfill his promise of helping Alexandria, Egypt’s weakening Jewish
community. Through this desertscape road-trip comes a tale of religious
tolerance and perseverance.
