Experience live Israeli music by The Tamari Project, visiting Cincinnati for
the modern Israeli holidays.

The Tamari Project is a musical initiative in memory of Tamar Kedem Siman Tov,
who was murdered on October 7 with her entire family: her husband Jonathan,
twin six-year-old daughters, Shachar and Arbel, and two-year-old son, Omer. In
addition to being a memorial project, they advocate for the immediate release
of the remaining hostages in Gaza.
During the summer of 2014, as operation Tzuk Eitan was going on and under
constant rocket and mortar fire, Tamar was part of the team that established
the music and art school Bikurim, and later became the principle of Israel’s
first youth village for young musicians, right on the Gaza border. The village
drew talented kids from across Israel, and helped them fulfill their dreams of
becoming professional musicians.
All 50 members of The Tamari Project are the graduates and colleagues of Tamar
from Bikurim and the group was created from the deep pain of their community,
which suffered a severe blow on October 7 with the murder and abduction of
many people close to them. They perform covers of well-known songs, hoping to
spread light within the darkness in loving memory of Tamar and in hope of
seeing all of the hostages come home.
