The Cincinnati campus of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR) is a vital center for higher Jewish learning, scholarly research, and community engagement.
It was established in 1875 by Rabbi Isaac Mayer Wise, the founder of American Reform Judaism. Students from around the world pursue their studies in the rabbinical school (closing in 2026) and Pines School of Graduate Studies, and have access to the internationally renowned resources of the Klau Library, Jacob Rader Marcus Center of the American Jewish Archives, and Skirball Museum.
