Chandler Waite Named New Director of Jewish Federation of Cincinnati’s Jewish Community Relations Council

Jewish Federation of Cincinnati is pleased to announce that Chandler Waite has been named the new Director of its Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), the public affairs and advocacy arm of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati. JCRC builds trusted civic partnerships, combats antisemitism, and advances Jewish values in the public sphere.

Waite brings extensive experience in diplomacy, advocacy, and interfaith engagement to this leadership role. Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, he is a graduate of Webster University. His professional journey began at Israel’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations and continued as Director of Governmental and Economic Affairs at the Consulate General of Israel to the Southwest.

“We must foster strong relationships—across faiths, sectors, and communities—so when challenging moments arise, we can navigate them together,” said Waite. “My door is always open, especially to those who feel their voices aren’t being heard.”

Waite’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment, as JCRC continues to address antisemitism, strengthen interfaith relations, and advocate for Jewish communal priorities across our city, state, and nation.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions and growing leadership, Jeremy Spiegel, has also been promoted from Assistant Director to Associate Director of JCRC.

“Chandler brings deep diplomatic expertise and a powerful drive to connect people,” said Danielle V. Minson, CEO of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati. “His thoughtfulness, strategic mindset, and passion for Jewish life are exactly what our community needs right now. Our JCRC has a great team with Chandler and Jeremy and is poised to continue to strengthen our region through dialogue, collaboration, and partnership.”
