SUMMARY:The Wizard of Oz\, Youth Edition - Thursday\, May 14
DESCRIPTION:Before _Wicked\,_ there was _The Wizard of Oz_\, a classic tale of courage\,\nfriendship and the journey to happiness and self-discovery. Join Dorothy and\nher loyal companion Toto as they “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” through the\nLand of Oz\, determined to reach the Emerald City\, where the great and powerful\nWizard of Oz will help them get home. Of course\, along the way\, Dorothy\nencounters witches (both good and bad)\, Munchkins\, talking trees and winged\nmonkeys. But most importantly\, she befriends three unique characters: a\nScarecrow with no brain\, a Tin Man with no heart\, and a Lion with no “nerve.”\nTheir journey to happiness – and self-awareness – is a glowing testament to\nfriendship\, understanding and hope in a world filled with both beauty and\nugliness. \nReturn to the classic that started it all in this charming production by the\ntalented students of Theatre at the J: Everyone’s a Star. \nCheck out our social narrative about “(https://mayersonjcc.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/24_Theatre_What-\nto-Expect.pdf)” \n**Sponsors:**\n_In Loving Memory of Edward Cohen\, Jen & John Stein\, Rick Steiner\nProductions/Steiner Family Foundation\, & Andi Levenson Young & Scott Young_\n _Ohio Arts Council_\n _Jewish Federation of Cincinnati_ \nView event on Jlive: https://jlive.app/events/14801

SUMMARY:The Wizard of Oz\, Youth Edition - Sunday\, May 17
DESCRIPTION:**Live captioning will be available for this performance.** \nBefore _Wicked\,_ there was _The Wizard of Oz_\, a classic tale of courage\,\nfriendship and the journey to happiness and self-discovery. \nCheck out our social narrative about “(https://mayersonjcc.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/24_Theatre_What-\nto-Expect.pdf)” \n**Sponsors:**\n_In Loving Memory of Edward Cohen\, Jen & John Stein\, Rick Steiner\nProductions/Steiner Family Foundation\, & Andi Levenson Young & Scott Young_\n _Ohio Arts Council_\n _Jewish Federation of Cincinnati_ \nView event on Jlive: https://jlive.app/events/14802

DESCRIPTION:Join us in making a difference with Women’s Philanthropy’s Helping on Chai\nprograms. Once a month\, women come together to give their time and energy to\nsupport various nonprofits across the city. Every month brings a new\nopportunity to help those in need. This month\, we are volunteering with\n**Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank\, a program of St. Vincents de Paul.** \nSweet Cheeks Diaper Bank\, a program of St. Vincent de Paul Cincinnati\,\npartners with local nonprofits and healthcare providers to provide free\ndiapers to families in need\, while also raising awareness of the basic health\nneed for diapers. Today’s project will focus on wrapping packs of diapers to\nbe distributed to families across our community — because clean diapers are a\nbasic need of every baby and toddler\, and 1 in 4 parents miss work or school\nbecause they can’t afford the diapers required to leave their child in\nchildcare. \nWe will be working out of St. Vincent de Paul Cincinnati building at St.\nVincent de Paul’s Liz Carter Center at 1125 William L. Mallory\, Sr. Street\n(formerly Bank St.) Come ready to roll up your sleeves and make a tangible\nimpact for local families. \nView event on Jlive: https://jlive.app/events/15492
