DESCRIPTION:Join the Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center for a special\nUpstander Month experience that brings compassion\, community\, and action\ntogether. \nParticipants will gather at Bethany House for a hands-on opportunity to\nprepare a complete dinner that will be shared with families and children\nserved by the organization. As you cook side by side with fellow community\nmembers\, you will learn more about what it means to be an upstander\, explore\nthe mission of the Holocaust & Humanity Center and Bethany House\, and gain a\ndeeper understanding of homelessness and the needs facing families in our\ncommunity. \nParticipants will also learn about the work of Bethany House Services\, the\nlargest provider of family homelessness services in Greater Cincinnati.\nBethany House’s mission is to empower homeless and at-risk families with the\nsolutions they need to achieve housing stability and long-term self-\nsufficiency through emergency shelter\, housing support\, and family-centered\nservices. \nTogether\, participants will prepare and package the meal while putting\nupstander values into action through a meaningful shared experience of service\nand care for others. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old to participate\,\nand 17 to be in the kitchen. \nSpace is limited. DESCRIPTION:**Participant Info Session Tabling and Call for Participants**\nArt making begins this summer for the fall festival of Sukkot celebrated with\nthe annual Under One Roof community art exhibit\, featuring artwork designed by\norganizations\, groups\, and individuals around their interpretation of this\nyear’s central theme: _Chai (the Hebrew word for “life”)_ \nThe Under One Roof Sukkah Art Exhibit is displayed in a temporary sukkah in\nthe Mayerson JCC courtyard. During the fall display dates\, a variety of events\ntake place to celebrate community\, art\, and conversation. \n**Call for Participants:**\nContribute to the annual Under One Roof community art exhibit by being a part\nof the art\, creating and contributing artwork designed by your organization\,\ngroup\, or individually. \n_Under One Roof is made possible by presenting partner Rockwern Charitable\nFoundation.
