DESCRIPTION:**_Honoring our bodies and the ancient Jewish tradition of Mikveh_** \nDuring Pride Month (June)\, LGBTQ+ communities honor the history and struggle\nof those who fought for LGBTQ+ rights and celebrate through parades\, parties\,\nand events. This gender-inclusive pool party will welcome swimmers (and those\njust dipping their feet in) in a family-friendly\, private\, and gender-\naffirming environment\, ensuring the LGBTQ+ Jewish community has a place to\ncelebrate pride together. \nThis event will be at the Mayerson JCC outdoor pool and will include pizza\n(with gluten-free and dairy-free options)\, music\, and drinks! \n_What is elech?_\nelech is Cincinnati’s Queer Jewish Community that fosters belonging for\nmembers of our community. \n_Do I have to be Jewish?_\nNo! And we’re not a synagogue\, and our leaders aren’t always rabbis. \n_Do I have to be queer?_\nNot necessarily. SUMMARY:March with Jewish Cincinnati at the 2026 Pride Parade
DESCRIPTION:Show your support and march with us at the Cincinnati Pride Parade on\nSaturday\, June 27! Register by Friday\, June 12\, to receive a Jewish Cincinnati\nPride t-shirt! **For security reasons\, we are requiring everyone to register\nhere.** \nThe parade route begins at 7th Street & Plum\, travels down Vine Street past\nFountain Square\, and ends at the Sawyer Point & Yeatman’s Cove festival\nlocation. We will be emailing additional information on our starting location\nthe week of June 22. \n**New this year:  ** \n  * **We have registered a vehicle** for the parade route. A JCC bus will accompany our walkers\, adding to our presence and providing accessibility so that members of our community who otherwise could not join the march are able to be part of the day.  \n  * **There will be an opportunity to volunteer** at the Jewish Cincinnati booth at the Pride Festival at Sawyer Point. Elliot Draznin/Elech is running logistics for the booth this year\, and they’ve asked for our help recruiting volunteers. The booth represents our entire Jewish community. Please be on the lookout for communication\nthat day with a security update and any other relevant information\, including\nwhere to meet at the parade if we proceed as planned. \nPLEASE NOTE: While law enforcement is prepared to provide security\, they can\nnot and will not abridge free speech.
