DESCRIPTION:_This program is only open to JCC members and 60 & Better members._ \nRespect\, not agreement\, is an essential key to a healthy discussion. This\nworkshop explores how we may\, without realizing it\, encourage polarization. We\nwill examine how we regard and talk about large groups of ordinary people on\nthe other side of our politics as if they were enemies. \nThe goals of this workshop are to help you become more aware of your own\n“inner polarizer” and to learn how to interact without demonizing\, dismissing\,\nor stereotyping large swaths of the population. \nThis workshop is designed to help you lessen the effects of polarization when\nyou encounter subjects you disagree with in political conversations.
