Join us Sunday, February 1 at 5:00 PM at Temple Sholom for a special
Cincinnati String Project presentation of Cornerstones, a program celebrating
the works that shaped the string quartet tradition.
The evening begins with Mozart’s Quartet in D minor, written in tribute to his
teacher Joseph Haydn, the inventor of the string quartet itself. At the heart
of the program is Bartók’s monumental 4th String Quartet—a groundbreaking work
that redefined what was possible for the ensemble and includes one of the most
beautiful and haunting slow movements ever written.
Stay after the concert for a catered reception, and feel good knowing that all
proceeds support our free music education program.
Come experience an inspiring night of powerful music, meaningful artistry, and
community support. We can’t wait to see you there!
