Ranen Omer-Sherman is The Jewish Heritage Fund Endowed Chair in Jewish Studies
at the University of Louisville. He is the author or editor of six books
including _Diaspora and Zionism in Jewish American Literature _(2002),
_Israel in Exile: Jewish Writing and the Desert_ (2006), _The Jewish Graphic
Novel: Critical Approaches_ (2008), _Narratives of Dissent: War in
Contemporary Israeli Arts and Culture_ (2013), I _magining Kibbutz: Visions
of Utopia in Literature and Film _(2015), and _Amos Oz: The Legacy of a
Writer in Israel and Beyond _(2023), as well as numerous essays on Jewish
writers from Israel and North America. He also serves as co-editor of _Shofar:
An Interdisciplinary Journal of Jewish Studies_.
