Complexities of Composting

Julie Marchese, compost lover and co-owner of _Queen City Commons_ , a
Cincinnati-based compost waste collection service, will facilitate a
discussion to understand the complexities of compostable food waste and
compostable single-use items, such as plates, bowls, utensils, and takeout
containers.

Learn what _is_ and _is not_ compostable; what there is to know about items
labeled ‘compostable’ and where to properly dispose of such items. Following a
brief presentation there will be time for questions. In addition, a collection
of compostable items will be presented showing the diversity of such items and
what can be done with each.
